Two primary COCUUN devices, in combination, convert incoherent and inefficient fuel flow into coherent and efficient fuel plasma current within internal combustion engines. They are the "Intake Plasma Generator System" and the “Isolated Plasma Array Treatment System”.

A. Other names have previously been used for this technology over the last 40 years. However, “COCUUN” is being used in their place for consistency and to avoid confusion. All of the following research involved the same sustainability technology offered by COCUUN, LLC.

According to quantum physics, it is possible to verify an increase in the underlying coherence of an audio signal by observing a scientifically significant increase in the signal-to-noise ratio in the time domain at the envelope of that audio signal. A study was conducted to see if COCUUN technology would increase such underlying coherence.
Sound Technologies Spectra Plus software-based signal analyzer was used to measure the left output channel of a CD player. Tests were done with pre-recorded selections of flute and acoustic guitar. Each instrument was measured separately, first without using COCUUN. Then with COCUUN connected to the CD player.
When COCUUN equipment was connected, the results showed a significant increase in signal-to-noise-ratio (an average of 20% and up to 95%), more detailed information, greater dynamic range, as well as more clarity, resolution, intelligibility, and fullness of sound. Later, with the more advanced COCUUN equipment and a hardware-based signal analyzer, the increase in the signal-to-noise ratio was even more significant.
Further studies with COCUUN found that as signal-to-noise ratios increase, actual intelligibility increases and listener fatigue decreases. These changes indicate that the application of COCUUN is effective in increasing the underlying coherence of an audio signal. This increase in underlying coherence has benefits in terms of the overall technological performance and compatibility of electronic signals, and for the living systems influenced by those signals. Specifications of Test - Signal to Noise (FFT) and audio signal performance
The test was conducted using Sound Technologies Spectra Plus (Fast Fourier Transform Spectral Measurement software system.)
The sound testing equipment measured the output of the CD player. The test was repeated two times - once with the flute with COCUUN’s prototype disconnected. Then once with the flute with the COCUUN prototype connected inline between the audio source and the test equipment.
When the COCUUN prototype unit was connected the results indicated:
An unexpected result found in the testing was that COCUUN technology increases repeatability of the signal while maintaining accuracy.
William Elder, designer of the IQS Audio Signal Analyzer, reported: “Anything that you are trying to do to improve the sound quality of the sample should increase the repeatability of playing back the data, and it seems to me that is what was going on...It was very much easier to get repeatable data after the application of COCUUN technology to the data source”.
COCUUN technology was tested on inter-modulation distortion of an audio signal. Sound Technologies Spectra Plus signal analyzer was used to measure the left output channel of a CD player.
A music sample was compared first without processing the signal with COCUUN. Then with the signal processed with COCUUN connected in between the CD player and the test equipment.
When the COCUUN equipment was connected, the results showed a significant decrease in inter-modulation distortion - up to 22%. Inter-modulation distortion is correlated with higher resolution and timbrel clarity.
COCUUN technology has been shown to significantly increase the periodic signal-to-noise ratio of video signals, reducing visual noise. The COCUUN processed video signal was tested at a Cox Cable Network in San Diego, California. The video signal was broadcast through a microwave modulator and demodulator, a time base corrector, and a cascade of amplifiers. After these steps of signal transduction, the periodic noise from the COCUUN-processed signal improved by nearly 15%.
The readings were compared to identical non-processed video signals. These findings indicate that COCUUN increases signal integrity over time and distance, and decreases visual noise. This improvement in visual noise is especially important for High-Definition video. COCUUN would obviously benefit ‘Hollywood’s’ Sustainable Production Alliance by helping to meet its sustainability and climate change goals, while improving production quality and audience experiences.
In Summary: Initial reports on the following important findings indicate that COCUUN technology:
An engineer (IEEE with a masters in wireless communication) conducted three tests using a Commercial Signal Conditioner with COCUUN technology.
This unit was designed to increase signal integrity for the wireless industry (cell phones, Wi-Fi, radio and TV broadcasting.) The engineer used a cordless phone that operates in the higher end of radio frequencies (RF). With the Signal Conditioner off, he walked away from the base station with the mobile handset. After about 375 feet the signal went dead.
He repeated the test with the Signal Conditioner containing COCUUN technology turned on and was able to go an additional 356 feet before it died. That's approximately a 95% linear increase in coverage. The engineer also said that the signal was stabler and clearer, even when it was breaking up.
The engineer said that when we apply it to a wireless network or broadcasting system, we could see an even bigger percentage increase. Since the towers are high up above the ground, there is less interference and commercial cell phone networks operate at much higher power.
In about 1990, KFOX Radio in Los Angeles had a COCUUN technology device installed in-line with their broadcasting equipment. The device in 1990 was not as powerful as device currently offered by COCUUN, which is only as large as an average human hand.
In a survey of a cross section of consumers, two identical audio recordings were played. One had been processed with COCUUN technology.
The result: 86% preferred the COCUUN-processed recording. Several follow up “blind” and “double blind” tests resulted in a wide majority preferring recordings processed with COCUUN technology.

The head of Sony Japan’s audio division made 45 identical music CDs and sent 30 to the developer of COCUUN technology. Fifteen were processed with COCUUN technology and all 30 were returned to Sony headquarters in Japan.
In a double-blind test, the Sony engineers could easily distinguish between them. They reported that the CDs modified with COCUUN technology sounded better.

The following is a brief summary of the testing methods and results achieved.
Six subjects were studied. Each person participated in two one-hour test trials. They wore a standardized electrode cap. All data was recorded and stored on a hard disk. All subjects were seated in a room approximately 12’ x 14’ within a large three-story office building.
Measurements of brain wave activity (EEG) were recorded for each subject, once without COCUUN technology connected to the electrical supply of the building, and once with the COCUUN technology connected to the electrical supply of the building.
When COCUUN technology was connected to the electrical supply, an increase in specific organization of electrical activities occurred in all of the test subjects, i.e. brain wave activity became more orderly*. The researcher noted, “...this means more creativity, less stress, greater productivity, and improved health.”
[*Increases in EEG brain wave coherence have been scientifically correlated with increased creativity, improved task performance, faster reaction time, improved learning ability, improved grades in school, higher moral reasoning, better decision-making, and increased IQ, etc.]
In a controlled blind study, subjects lying on a mat featuring COCUUN technology were found to have an average heart rate of four beats per minutes slower than when COCUUN was not connected to the mat.
Subjects rested comfortably on the mat for ten minutes with the COCUUN unit turned on, and for ten minutes with the COCUUN unit turned off. Half of the time, the order was reversed so that the subject did not know whether the unit was on or off. The heart rate was taken during both ten-minute periods and compared.
Dr. Robert Perry and Associates, an independent research firm in Fallbrook, California, conducted several tests of COCUUN technology.
Their researchers measured high- and low-electrical intensity on a variety of electrical equipment using a Pulsar Sensor, or “Spin Tester.” They also used a 300 HV Tic Tracer to measure the effects of electromagnetic radiation on the energy field surrounding the human body.

Dr. M. Barry Sterman, a Professor Emeritus in the departments of Neurobiology and Biobehavioral Psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, conducted a research study to provide an initial but scientifically rigorous evaluation of the effects of COCUUN technology on the electrical activity of the human brain.
Three subjects were studied. Each person participated in test trials administered over a six-hour period. Subjects wore a standardized electrode cap with 19 recording sites. All data was recorded and stored on a hard disk.
Test 1) EEG and Task performance
A computerized version of the Continuous Performance Task, or CPT, was administered. This test records accuracy and recall of cognitive stimuli. All subjects were seated in front of a computer and were given the CPT test. The test was repeated four times: twice with the COCUUN equipment disconnected and twice with the COCUUN equipment connected. Subjects were not aware when the equipment was connected or disconnected.
On the cognitive test, two of the three subjects showed a 20% faster reaction time along with a 3 to 17% increase in accuracy when the COCUUN equipment was on. The researcher concluded that despite the fact that few subjects were studied, the overall picture that emerges is that COCUUN had a meaningful and positive effect on the subject’s ability to sustain attention. “Such a finding was both unprecedented and unexpected.”
Test 2) EEG and Alertness
All subjects were seated on a reclining chair lined with a mat containing COCUUN technology. They were asked to close their eyes and relax for 30 minutes. This procedure was repeated four times; twice with COCUUN disconnected and twice with the COCUUN connected.
During the resting phase, when the COCUUN technology was off, all subjects showed brain wave patterns that were indicative of drowsiness and sleep (which is natural in a reclining chair with eyes closed). When COCUUN technology was turned on, EEG patterns were similar to those patterns of activity in the brain systematically associated with superior attention and memory performance.
The researcher commented that:
A test questionnaire was given measuring energy and stress levels, psychological and physiological response to computers and telephones, job satisfaction, and productivity.
In each study, the daily work routine was not altered except for the installation of COCUUN technology. Questionnaires were then calculated to determine the individual’s overall rating. Individual ratings were then averaged within each group to determine the final result.
The five different groups showed improvements ranging from 17.9 to 31.8% at the end of the two-week period with COCUUN technology connected. A reversal of improvements, ranging from 19.2 to 24%, occurred in the studies where COCUUN was removed.
Demonstration at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC:

In a letter of gratitude from the Computer Systems Officer to the COCUUN inventor, he wrote:
[Increased brainwave coherence, improved task performance, and reduced environmental irritants, increase productivity in workplace and school environments. These benefits, in turn, reduce the risk of accidents, mistakes, ‘sick time’ due to stress-related health issues, and poor decisions, which invariably result in lost resources of time, money, energy and tragically, even life itself! Therefore, human health, efficiency and clarity, and the removal of environmental irritants such as electromagnetic noise and incoherent EM fields, are key to greater sustainability and more efficiently using all resources.]
A high school principal reported fewer behavioral problems when COCUUN technology was applied to the electrical system of a private school in Washington D.C. That small test has enormous implications for education, and student wellbeing and performance. The ‘irritant’ mentioned by the IMF executive above is an invisible, unacknowledged, unnecessary and preventable source of stress for employers and students alike.
Excessive stress plays a major role in student problems such as anxiety, depression, substance use, poor performance, dropping out of school, violence and suicide. A simple and relatively inexpensive upgrade to more coherent energy flow within schools has realistic potential to reduce all of these tragic problems. More research on COCUUN technology, across a broader spectrum of educational settings, is crucial for further validation of this breakthrough for students.
Gabriel Howearth, was one of the most respected and knowledgeable pioneers in the Organic Farming movement. He was a horticulturist in New Mexico. He received funds from several sources, including the United Nations, to begin research on agricultural methods for developing countries and non-hybrid seeds.
Gabriel performed a controlled experiment with several types of seeds and COCUUN technology. The following procedures were followed:
Enhanced Plant Growth
A later study by Bruce Tineo, a plant geneticist in Washington State, found similar results. However, the plants treated with COCUUN technology grew approximately 65-72% larger than the control plants.
According to one dairy farmer, his cows became jumpy, jittery, and the quality of their milk plummeted around the same time a cell phone tower was put up near the pasture.
The quality of a cow’s milk is an indicator of their overall health. In the case of this farmer, the quality of the milk dropped to such a low level, he was concerned that he wouldn't be able sell his milk.
The farmer plugged a COCUUN unit into the electrical outlet in the barn creating a soft, coherent atmosphere inside the barn. The cows immediately began to settle down and enjoy their barn, which now became their safe haven. The farmer reported that within a few weeks his cows’ health improved and so did the quality of their milk.
The first users of COCUUN products reported improvements in air quality in the immediate vicinity. This “fresher, cleaner air” is caused by a decrease in electropollution. In metropolitan areas, the cumulative effects of millions of incoherent electromagnetic fields, generated by electronic devices such as appliances and power lines, spin a “spider’s web” of magnetic incoherence in the atmosphere, trapping and exacerbating “normal” pollution from automobiles, factories, and power plants.
COCUUN hypothesized that in larger environments, such as metropolitan areas, reducing the levels of electro-pollution through COCUUN technology would result in lower levels of smog and air pollution. COCUUN technology was informally tested under this hypothesis in New Delhi, India (April 1990), and then in a pilot project in Los Angeles, California (August-Oct.1990).
The Los Angeles South Coast Basin, with 11 million people living in an area of 13,600 square miles at that time, had the most serious air-quality problems in the United States. The project involved the strategic placement of a device in the city of Anaheim, centrally located in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
The hardware device contained COCUUN’s proprietary technology. It was controlled by custom-modified software programs. Data was collected by the South Coast Air Quality Management District at over 30 measuring sites, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and reported every hour.
Over the first nine days, reported levels of ozone in Anaheim and the surrounding area dropped significantly. It leveled off below the federal clean air standard of 0.100 parts per million (ppm). As the project continued, the positive effects spread throughout the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area. Air quality forecasters had not predicted these drops. In fact, for the duration of the project (Aug. 3 to Oct. 22) ozone levels consistently fell below day-to-day predictions.
Overall, air quality improved by 43% in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. During the period when the COCUUN device was connected to the grid, the level of pollution, even at peak hours, fell beneath federal limits. And most significantly, environmental officials did not have to issue any smog alerts during the project.
The senior meteorologist with the South Coast Air Management District, quoted in the Los Angeles Times, said:
The pilot project ended on October 22, 1990. Within two weeks, ozone and nitrous oxide levels rose. They exceeded federal limits and went back to the predicted levels for that time of the year. The results above suggest that COCUUN technology significantly reduces air pollution. This has enormous implications for the health and well-being of people living in polluted metropolitan areas worldwide.
[Note: Due to limited resources at the time, air quality was the chosen indicator to be used for demonstrating the value of improving the quality of life by reducing measurement uncertainty in the electrical grid.]
At that time, the government provided $8 million and a mandate for the South Coast Air Quality Management District to monitor and report air pollution levels in the Los Angeles metro area for the benefit of the public. This meant that the information was readily available for anyone.
COCUUN’s hypothesis was that if measurement uncertainty is reduced in the matrix of power lines and building wiring, quality of life would improve for the citizens. Scientific research in other areas also supports the hypothesis that reducing measurement uncertainty improves the overall quality of life.
This single pilot demonstration in the L.A. metro area was organized and funded by just a few private citizens. The "mind-boggling" effects occurred within a few weeks and were sustained throughout the two-month demonstration. Imagine what a global consortium of sustainability-conscious stakeholders could achieve with COCUUN technology!

Proof-of-Concept projects are obviously needed in more cities to validate a consistent effect of COCUUN technology on air quality. Once that is achieved, when COCUUN’s ‘plug-and-play’ technology is in place, such improvement in air quality globally could begin literally at the 'flip of a switch' and the 'speed of light' (electrical current!)
Increased signal-to-noise ratio implies greater efficiency in electricity overall. Logically, that should translate into less wasted energy for electric mechanical systems and electronics.
In the early 90’s, AO Smith Electrical Products Company formally tested the effect of COCUUN technology on the running temperature of an industrial electric motor about two feet in diameter. Temperature sensors were positioned inside the motor winding. An average load was placed on the motor. The motor was tested without COCUUN connected, and then COCUUN technology device connected and turned on.
When the COCUUN device was connected, the motor ran five degrees Centigrade cooler than it did without COCUUN. After the first 10 hours the decrease in temperature stabilized at around four degrees Centigrade (7 degrees Fahrenheit) cooler than without COCUUN.
Informal testing:
- COCUUN technology was installed in Kansas City on a motor the size of a large room or small house. The motor powered a manufacturing plant. The man who ran it was very familiar with the motor to the point where he could hear and feel the difference with the way it ran with COCUUN tech connected. It ran more smoothly and with higher harmonics.
- A motor at a farmer’s dairy was big enough to pump water for the entire dairy farm. It was usually too hot to touch. After COCUUN technology was installed, the farmer noticed the difference by being able to put his hand on the motor.
In 2010, a paper in the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review stated that, “Statistics indicate that electric motors are generally responsible for about 2/3 of industrial power consumption in each nation, or about 40% of overall power consumption." The paper also stated, “Previous studies have reported that implementing a few options with little or no cost in the industrial sector could reduce 10–30% of GHG emissions.”
Great advances in energy-efficient motors have been made. However, about 300 million inefficient electric motors still exist in the world. COCUUN technology is one option that could achieve significant reductions in GHG emissions, not just at "little or no cost", but at a net cost savings and increased profit for the end user.
Many people using the COCUUN technology device in the cigarette lighter ports of their vehicle noticed an improvement in gas mileage. After-market fuel-saving devices for engines, and additives for fuel tanks, are abundant in the marketplace. Some offer legitimate benefits. Others are scams.
COCUUN makes no claim for its products directly affecting combustion engine performance. However, there is a logical explanation for the kind of benefits drivers have described when using a COCUUN device in their vehicle. Research studies have shown that the way the driver interacts with their vehicle can account for an improvement in gas mileage by as much as 20%. Less aggressive and more coherent drivers have driving styles that favor more responsible uses of fuel.
The rapid market expansion of electric vehicles warrants comprehensive research on the overall effects of COCUUN technology. This would be not only for energy efficiency from driving styles, but for safety, battery capacity, charging times and temperature, electric motor temperature, output, range, efficiency, and other characteristics.
Based on preliminary results for electronics, electricity, and motors, it would be logical to expect overall and cumulative improvements in electric vehicles through a comprehensive application of COCUUN technology in EV systems. There are many ways to connect COCUUN technology to a vehicle, but the easiest is through the cigarette lighter. This will influence the entire electrical system of the vehicle. At the same time, the beneficial effect of a particular COCUUN unit or chip can be localized or systematically limited and customized to a specific circuit, or device, such as EV motors and inverters.
COCUUN's core technology has already been validated across multiple sectors.
